What is Crohn’s Disease? Crohn’s disease is a chronic inflammatory condition that affects the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. It is one of the two main types of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), the other being ulcerative colitis. Unlike ulcerative colitis, which only affects the colon, Crohn’s disease can affect any part of the GI tract, from the mouth to the anus.
